A sketch of some NPC villains for a campaign I’m putting together. Of course, both images are deeply indebted to the artists and designers of the Monster Manual and the Monster Manual 3 (both by Wizards of the Coast, blah blah etc.).

An exercise sketch of Alia Shawkat, because shading is fun.

(and also because she is gorgeous)

Maybe there’s a problem with me, but I can’t say this enough: ROOOOOBOOOOOOTS.

ROOOOOOBOOOOOOTS.

Another sketch from a recent moleskine with a before/after of some PS dinking around. I happened to find a photo of a superb swell of waves and decided to futz around with the colors therof and also add a sinking person because why not.

Another sketch from a recent moleskine, this one with a before and after of messing with it in PS. The initial image was on vellum so that if hung up against a window or placed on a lightbox, you’d see it shine through.

Another sketch from a recent moleskine. Is it a bar graph? Is it a skyline? Who knows!

Another sketch from a recent moleskine. Still digging the portraiture via surroundings rather than details.

Sketch from my most recent moleskine - just having fun with erasing rather than laying down graphite.

A very, very time-consuming way to blur and pixellate things. There are a few ways to do this quickly, but each one either grants deeply imperfect results or requires a greater knowledge of coding than I have, so this was done manually.
Alas, it only looks alright from a distance.

Quick doodle of the primary deity of death for a game world I’m working on (D&D 3.5/Pathfinder compatible), named Jagus. Does he happen to look an awful lot like Anubis and have the same purview?
Maybe.
Yes.He’s Anubis. Shut up.

A few new illustrations for zero summer - or rather, the first draft of the eventual illustrations. Expect some fun new (colorful) things to show up if you play the game.

Also, I’ve found that I kinda like mock-cut-paper stuff. Super quick, fun visual.

Okay so I’m working on a portrait for a thing, and it’s been tough to get it just right. I’m currently working on V3 - these two are in the trash heap. I got far enough with V1 that you can see what it would have looked like if you squint and imagine shading, and V2 was a tragic botch that I swiftly aborted.

Soon you’ll see the finished, final product (I hope).

Alright, after many many iterations, this is what ended up going live on the site. Scroll down a few and you can see a pair of the previous logo designs.
